Into The Rabbit Hole, Vol. II

Dive into The Rabbit Hole of myths, lies and frauds of mainstream nutrition guidelines. This is the second part of ultimate knowledge cheat sheet.

Trener Karol Domański daje Ci wybór niczym Morfeusz z filmu „Matrix” — czerwoną pigułkę (karmiony trawą stek wołowy) albo niebieską pigułkę (industrialny olej „roślinny”).
Which one will you choose? An evolutionary consistent red meat full of saturated fats? Or an industrial, factory made “seed” oil whose original purpose was to lubricate a machinery?

They are everywhere

By the time you have reached this chapter you should have some basic knowledge and understanding of how toxic, proinflammatory and poisonous the so-called “vegetable” or, rather, seed oils are. All thanks to Doctor Paul Mason from Australia.

In case you have missed the Volume I of the series let me just provide you with the link to it so you can catch up.

Let me just remind you some of the most common seed oils occurring in our nowadays lives:

  • canola oil and rapeseed oil (“olej rzepakowy”) — the most common oil in Poland,
  • sunflower oil (“olej słonecznikowy”) — very common in Poland,
  • soybean oil (“olej sojowy”) — common in Poland,
  • linseed oil (“olej lniany”) — common in Poland,
  • safflower oil (“olej krokoszowy”) — rare in Poland,
  • corn oil (“olej kukurydziany”) — rare in Poland,
  • peanut butter or any nut butter, to be fair (“masło orzechowe”) — very common in Poland,
  • cheap grocery olive oil which is a mix of multiple olive oils as well as seed oils — very common in Poland.

Now you need to understand that the seed oils are not just the oils that you may already possess in your kitchen or in your pantry. If you do explicitly use them for either cooking or in your salad dressing, then, for the sake of God, ditch them. Throw them away. Flush them in the toilet. Just get rid of them, forever. Under no circumstances should you ever get in direct contact with the seed oils again.

The main problem, however, lies with the fact that the seed oils — being an ultra cheap common filling ingredient and flavour driver — are notoriously used literally in all the processed food that you can buy at any grocery store or supermarket. They also are vigorously utilized in gastronomy.

Which is why from now on in order to stay a strong, happy and healthy human individual and in order to sustain both a metabolic health and hormonal balance you need to avoid both processed and gastronomical foods. This includes:

  • packed breakfast, lunch and dinner boxes that contain a food ready to be eaten in a matter of minutes of microwave preparation;
  • chips, crackers, biscuits;
  • mayonnaises, sauces and mustards;
  • ready-to-go salads and sandwiches, i.e., the salads and sandwiches you can buy at Żabkas;
  • ready-to-go sandwiches and hotdogs, i.e., the sandwiches and hotdogs you can purchase at Orlen gas stations;
  • restaurant foods and meals;
  • obviously, junk foods and fast foods either from McDonald’s, KFC, Burger King or Subway;
  • french fries, cheeseburgers, hamburgers, kebabs, wraps, tortillas, hotdogs, etc.;
  • vegan foods and plant foods that attempt so miserably to mimic whole animal foods, i.e., plant based burgers, plant based cheeses, plant based milks (almond milk, oat milk, etc.);
  • and, to be fair, basically every food that contains more than three ingredients — there is a huge chance that one of those ingredients is going to be a seed oil.

Behind the toxicity of seed oils

Now I want to present you with even more evidence to support the claim of seed oils being destructive to human health. The most prominent and well known scientist who has studied the toxic influence of seed oils on the human body for over 20 years is Dr. Chris Knobbe. Yes, his last name sounds kind of like Obi-Wan Kenobi, the Jedi Knight.

Doctor Paul Mason, Paul Saladino MD and Dr. Eric Berg all have lots of expertise in the field, too, and provide plenty of valuable insights as well.

Please, start studying the conferences, materials and podcasts provided below in no particular order.
